Both THINKCAR and Autel make full-system workshop scanners with coding, bi-directional tests and service resets. THINKCAR's THINKTOOL range spans small 7-inch scanners to online-programming tablets and adds 24V heavy-duty coverage on some models; Autel's MaxiSys tablets are strong on programming with J2534 VCIs and connect to Autel's TPMS and ADAS equipment.

When THINKCAR tends to fit
Workshops that also see commercial vehicles, or want one tool family from a basic scanner up to an add-on TPMS programmer, battery tester and smoke leak detector that work with the scanner.
When Autel tends to fit
Workshops that program modules often, tyre shops that want Autel MaxiTPMS, and workshops planning ADAS calibration with the Autel calibration frame and targets.
The honest answer
The right choice depends on your makes and jobs. Bring a car or a list of recent jobs and compare both on the same vehicle before you decide.
Questions
Can I use THINKCAR and Autel tools in the same workshop?
Yes. Many workshops keep tools from both makers and use whichever covers the car in front of them better.
Which one is easier to learn?
Both run on Android tablets with similar menus. A short handover session on the tool you choose is usually enough to start.
